Animals are classified into 2 groups:
Invertbrates- animals with no backbone
Some with hard shells (snails, scorpions)
Some with soft bodies (jellyfish, worms)
Vertebrates- animals with a backbone
Mammals & Birds (warm blooded; constant body temperature)
Reptiles, Amphibians, & Fish (cold blooded; body temperature changes with the environment)
Plants are divided into 2 groups
Flowering Plants- produce seeds within flowers or fruits that contain seeds
Non-Flowering Plant-plants that produce seeds within cones or produce spores instead of seeds (ferns, moss)
Moss
Spores are found on the underside of the leaves 
Ferns
